MAY IS SENIOR MONTH

Brief notes from Nancy,

All high school seniors who would like to share their high school graduation plans please remember to submit them to Jackie Helter for the Messenger newsletter.

It would be great to honor members of the congregation who are 90 and above. May is also American's Senior Adult Month.   Visit the website  www.ohio.gov where you’ll find an example of a recognition diploma for older Americans. This would be a great way for all of us  to bridge  the generations of high school grads

especially to those in their 90's this month of May.

Starting this Sunday, Sunday School classes will begin discussing and planning a float for the Miamisburg’s Annual Spring Fling event and parade on May 21.

St. John’s 2010 Spring Fling parade banner and Vacation Bible School float in the background.  The VBS theme for last

     year was “Be a Bee-liever!”

Please review the new church website www.stjohnsmiamisburg.org and submit any suggestions you have for events to be added to the youth calendar.

If you can help with vacation bible school this year please contact Robin Skelding for dates and information.  They always need volunteers for the week-long event if only for one session.  Also remember these two St. John’s outreach events next weekend - Chicken Noodle Dinner Saturday the 30th at 4:30 pm and the All Daughter's Tea Sunday the 1st at 4 pm.  WELCA can always use your help!

Bless you and study well this next month.  Remember, May ends the 2011 term and the last chance to tweak those grades.
